Namaste India 2023   Memorandum of Rules & Compliance

Please confirm the following
Memorandum of Rules & Compliance
before an application.
<Restaurant and Beverage Stalls>

○ Regarding Health & Hygiene permission from the Health Office of Shibuya-ward:
The Working Committee will take responsibility for ALL applications to the Health Office:

1.To apply for permission of health control, on behalf of all the tenants

2.Health office will not respond to inquiries of individual tenants.

3.Working Committee will take responsibility for supervising the hygienic of all stalls.

4.Report on event result.

Necessary documentation:
Tenants will be required to submit necessary documents by the end of August.

Allergic Antipathy Foods:
Egg, Milk, Wheat, Soba, Peanuts, Shrimp, Crab

Stalls are required to inform and display if these 7 items are used or not. Tenants have to be well prepared to answer to the questions on ingredients.


○ Subjects in relation to the Management Office of the Yoyogi Park of Tokyo Municipality:

Event site of Namaste India is public space open to anyone. It will be exclusively reserved for Namaste India on the specific period on a commercial contract basis. However you are required to comply with good common sense for the use of public environment with high preference on sharing the area in a friendly way.
For Sales of Alcoholic Drinks:
1. It is strictly prohibited to do direct hand-over sales of glass bottled products regardless if it is alcoholic or soft drinks. In case of violation against this regulation, the Working Committee will terminate your sales at once.
2. When there is a tensed situation such as violent action with loud voice etc. caused by too much alcoholic drinks, tenants are required to manage the situation in a proper and moral way.
3. In the viewpoint of wanting to offer a reasonable quantity of alcoholic drinks, it is not advisable to sell alcohol in a pitcher or bottle, even it is made of plastic.

○ Subjects in relation with the Working Committee:
Cuisine Menu: In principle, Indian Cuisine.
Price Guide Line:
 To avoid unnecessary confusion and sales competition, it is necessary to respect the following price level:
(Reference price at the time of the 2019 event)
This year will be notified at a later date.
 Beer:
 Indian origin Imported Beer (Can and or Bottle) 500 yen
 Draft Beer 500 yen
 Standard Curry Set: 600 yen
 Wine: No guide line price, but the recommended quantity for a reasonable volume per cup is about 200ml per cup (paper/plastic)

Service to guests.
1. It is kindly requested of you to attend to handicapped persons as a first preference without making them wait in a queue.
2. To facilitate and guide the queue for smooth ordering.

<Common Conditions for All the Tenants>

○ For setting up Stalls:
Please follow the instructions and advice of the set-up Company called Maikobo.(kk)

○ Subjects in relation with the Working Committee:

0. This Namaste India 2023 will be held for the first time in four years due to the corona disaster.
With the new coronavirus still not completely contained, the event may be scaled down or refrained from in the future.
1. Payment will not be refundable in case of the tenant’s reason to quit or in case of any act of natural disasters like earthquakes, typhoons,infectious diseases etc. The event will be held even if it rains.
2. No act of distribution of flyers and leaflets within the event site will be allowed.
3. It is allowed to distribute flyers and leaflets within the range of 2 meters in front of your own stalls.
4. Sales Activities:
It is not the place for warehouse sales. It is considered un-appropriate mode of sales with signboards like “Outlet Mall”, or “Discount Festival Sales” etc.
5. Tenants have to take full responsibility for any claims, damages and activities that occur within their facilities or trouble from the act of selling.
6. No use of loud speakers that disturb other tenants.
7. In case the applicant is different to the shop tenant, the committee can to refuse to let you operate the shop,
8. There should be no damage of public properties or any kind of disorder of public manner
9. No use of paper gum tape. If needed please use cloth gum tape ONLY.
10. Each stall has to take back their own garbage.
11. Please follow any orders given by the administration office of the Yoyogi Park.
12. ※You will be subject to leave the place in case of violation of any of the above regulations and conditions, (The stall payment will not be refunded)
